Natalie & Daniel. My favorite kind of couple. The “we just want to have a great time and celebrate” kind.
I first met them when they invited me all the way to Mendocino for their engagement photos. I was pretty excited to check out the botanical gardens up there. I probably would have never made time in my life for that, and when my job brings me places this way, I am always pretty grateful for it. Right away, I knew these were my people.
Fast forward another year, and they had their wedding two hours away from my home. As my husband, who was running the photobooth this day, and I were driving, I again commented on how neat it is that even though this was quite a drive, there would be no reason I would ever see this area otherwise. I appreciated the adventure and the experience.
When we got to their house, they had this perfect setup right at home for their wedding day. As soon as we arrived and met a few of their friends who were setting up, I just knew again this was going to be a fun day, and it was.
Genuine laughter, real people, authentic moments, and endless opportunities for great candid photos, which is what I love most about photographing weddings.
One day I won’t forget.
